<p>On June 1st LGBTQI justice organizations from across the country are coming together to celebrate Pride Month. We're teamed up with the<strong>&nbsp;National LGBTQ Task Force</strong><strong>&nbsp;Human Rights Campaign</strong>&nbsp;<strong>NETWORK Lobby for Catholic Social Justice</strong>&nbsp;<strong>Faith in Public Life</strong> the&nbsp;<strong>Women's Ordination Conference</strong> the&nbsp;<strong>Tyler Clementi Foundation</strong> and many more to host the&nbsp;<strong><a href=https://www.dignityusa.org/civicrm/event/register?reset=1&amp;id=118>Catholic Pride Blessing</a></strong> an online prayer service that kicked off Pride Month on Tuesday June 1st.&nbsp;<a href=https://www.dignityusa.org/civicrm/event/register?reset=1&amp;id=118><br></a></p><p>In the special event we heard words of affirmation and blessing from LGBTQI activists advocates and allies from around the world:</p><ul><li><strong>Mary McAleese&nbsp;</strong>the President of Ireland 1997-2011</li><li><strong>Dr. Miguel Daaz&nbsp;</strong>the U.S. Ambassador to the Holy See 2009 - 2012</li><li><strong>Bishop John Stowe</strong> Catholic Diocese of Lexington KY</li></ul><p>True blessing doesnt come from hierarchies of power; it comes from communities of care love and solidarity.</p><p>A special thanks to everyone who was able to attend! It was a real joy to kick off Pride Month with you.
