To the Dignity community:

From time to time member chapters of Dignity have requested copies of the new DignityUSA logo for use in publications advertisements T-shirts and their own websites. DignityUSA is pleased to make them available for such uses. Below you will find information about using the DignityUSA logo as well as several options for downloading it to your computer.

Please note: The DignityUSA logo is a trademark of DignityUSA Inc. and should be used only in connection with DignityUSA or its local chapters. Organizations outside of Dignity who wish to use the logo are asked to contact the Dignity Vice President for permission.

Style Guide: Tips on Using the DignityUSA Logo

Here are a few general guidelines for usage of the new DignityUSA logo. They are meant to help maintain consistent use of the national logo in Dignity chapters that wish to use it in their own marketing materials. Consistent treatment of the logo will build brand identity for our organization thus creating a singular image of DignityUSA in the minds of our members and the public at large.

<img style=float: right; height: 90px; width: 191px; src=/sites/default/files/digusa2.gif>Colors. The logo is designed in three colors: Pantone 281 (blue) Pantone 240 (lavender) and Pantone 124 (gold). Since consistent usage of a logo builds brand recognition the logo should be printed only in those colors in CMYK approximations of those colors or in one solid color (preferably Pantone 281 blue).

For Web design the best HTML color matches are #003366 (blue) #CC3399 (lavender) and #FFCC00 (gold).

<img style=float: right; height: 72px; width: 190px; src=/sites/default/files/dignity-notag.gif alt=DignityUSA>Tagline. The DignityUSA logo contains the tagline Gay Lesbian Bisexual & Transgender Catholics (above right). But when displaying in very small spaces such as the stitching on hats/polo shirts or in small Web graphics where the tagline could become muddied the version without the tagline (right) may be preferable.

Backgrounds. Please use the DignityUSA logo on a white background whenever possible. If the design requires that it be placed on a colored background it must be on a light or neutral color or on a texture that is as unobtrusive as possible. Rule of thumb: If the Gay Lesbian Bisexual & Transgender Catholics tagline is hard to read the background is too dark.

<img style=float: right; height: 99px; width: 190px; src=/sites/default/files/images/dignity-rev.gif>Dark backgrounds. If the logo needs to be placed on a dark background it is preferable to use a background that is dark blue (closest match to Pantone 281). In such cases the blue type must knock out to white to remain legible (right).

Trademark. The trademark (TM) symbol should accompany the DignityUSA logo in all situations.

Download Center

If you're designing a print advertisement or other publication

Click to download a compressed high-resolution .TIF file in color (CMYK format) or in black & white. Before printing up materials or uploading the logo to your chapter website please refer to the Style Guide below on usage of colors typefaces and position of your chapter name.

General guidelines

Colors. The DignityUSA logo is designed in three colors: Pantone 281 (blue) Pantone 240 (lavender) and Pantone 124 (gold). Chapters that adapt the logo for their own use should print it only in those colors in CMYK approximations of those colors or in one solid color (preferably Pantone 281 blue). For Web design the best HTML color matches are #003366 (blue) #CC3399 (lavender) and #FFCC00 (gold).

Backgrounds. Please use the DignityUSA logo on a white background whenever possible. If the design requires that it be placed on a colored background it must be on a light or neutral color or on a texture that is as unobtrusive as possible. (Rule of thumb: If the Gay Lesbian Bisexual & Transgender Catholics tagline is hard to read the background is too dark.) If you need to use the logo on a very dark background it is best to convert the dark blue type to white so it will show up.

Please keep in mind that DignityUSA holds the trademark on this national corporate identity so we kindly ask that chapters adhere to one of the two formats below when adapting it for your chapter. Consistent treatment of the logo will build brand identity for our organization thus creating a singular image of DignityUSA in the minds of our members and the public at large.

To allow for flexibility among chapters DignityUSA offers two different acceptable versions of logos that include your chapter name with our national trademark.

Need help?

If you have questions about the logo or could use some advice on working with graphics please contact webminister@dignityusa.org.
