<p>In early March DignityUSA filed Amicus Briefs in two lawsuits challenging Catholic institutions claims of ministerial exemptions in the termination or mistreatment of three employees. In the US Supreme Court cases of <strong>St. James School v. Estate of Kristen Biehl</strong> and <strong>Our Lady of Guadalupe School v. Agnes Morrissey-Berru</strong> the schools in question claimed ministerial exemption in terminating a Catholic laywoman and a non-Catholic woman respectively both teachers due to disability and age. In <strong>Koenke v. St. Josephs University</strong> filed in the US District Court for Eastern Pennsylvania Noel Koenke claims that being ordered to remain silent about her upcoming marriage to another woman violates the universitys stated claims of non-discrimination against LGBT people.
