Thank you Gene for your continual support of DignityUSA!

National Coming Out Day was started by Richard Eichberg a psychologist and Jean O'Leary a gay rights activist in 1988 to raise awareness of the lesbian gay bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community and its work towards civil rights. It commemorates the anniversary of the second big National March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights which took place in 1987.

This National Coming Out Day its never been more important to advocate for LGBTQ Americans especially those living in the 29 states without adequate nondiscrimination protections for LGBTQ+ folks. As we celebrate #NationalComingOutDay lets work together for an end to unfair discrimination against the queer community and ensure that ALL Americans feel safe to live their truth.

Whether you're lesbian gay bisexual transgender or queer be proud of who you are and your support for LGBTQ+ equality. Take action and call on Congress to pass the Equality Act TODAY: https://www.passtheequalityact.com/act
