On October 21st a number of media outlets reported that Pope Francis expressed support for civil union laws during a documentary interview. That day we issued a <a href=https://www.dignityusa.org/news/lgbtqi-catholics-%E2%80%9Ccautiously-optimistic%E2%80%9D-about-pope%E2%80%99s-comments-supporting-civil-unions>response</a> communucating our cautious optimism about reports of the Pope's comments.
