<p><span style=background-color: transparent;>We are pleased to announce that the proposed revisions to the DignityUSA Bylaws have been approved with over 84% of the total votes submitted. We are thankful to the many members former DignityUSA leaders board members and other experts who helped us thoughtfully develop the proposed revisions beginning with the drafting process and through the multiple rounds of editing then member communications and finally the balloting process.</span></p><p>In particular we thank Lewis Speaks-Tanner and Alice Knowles past national President and Vice-President who made the commitment to undertake this important and challenging work three years ago and provided the leadership and diligence needed to get us to this positive conclusion to the great benefit of DignityUSA and our members.</p><p>As we have communicated throughout this process as well as during the 2019 Membership Meeting at our national Conference our objectives were to provide needed updates that allow us to act more efficiently and responsively to changing member needs and expectations as well as to external conditions. We believe we are now well-positioned to continue our mission and work while also planning for the ideal future that was envisioned during the visioning session at the Chicago Conference.</p><p>Thanks again to all who invested in this process. Lauren has been an effective and visionary leader these past two years and is credited with helping us achieve our many successes over this period of time notably the July 4 joint Forum with the Global Network of Rainbow Catholics and the 2019 Conference.
